I'll handle PBP today. Feel free to post comments, thoughts, reactions, etc. to each match in the dual.

It appears that the dual is starting with the 125 match.

A lot of potentially good matchups.

Stoppage for blood with 52 sec left. OOB with 37 sec. Nico working left side again, Youtsey up, and he's out, 4-2. 1:05 in RT for Nico. PD stoppage with 7 sec left. Youtsey shoots, Nico sprawls, end

2nd
Nico chooses down. Nico out in 10 sec, 5-2. Nico working the head, then collar ties, then nothing. Nico snaps down the head, reaches for the knee, and he gets the TD, 7-2. PD stoppage with 46 left. Nico with a spiral ride, then go OOB with 33 sec left. RT back over 1 min. Another spiral ride, Youtsey to his feet, and taken back down, and OOB with 11 sec. Youtsey to his feet, Nico locks around waist, no esc. End 1:48 in RT for Nico

3rd
Youtsey takes down. Nico with the optional start (gives the esc), 7-3. Youtsey with a headlock, Nico drives in and gets the TD, 9-3. OOB with 1:23, after Youtsey gets the esc, 9-4. Head battling, then a PD call. Nico reaches for a leg, nothing. 1 min left. Nico drives in, Youtsey steps backwards, and a stall warning is issued. Nico drives in again, Youtsey steps backwards, they're near the edge, and OOB with 15 sec. Nico shoots for right leg, then the left, and then a PD stoppage with 6 sec. Nico dives, Youtsey sprawls, nothing. 1:58 in RT makes it a 10-4 win for Nico

This Student U production is pretty rough, but they're obviously trying to be knowledgeable. White singlets are pretty cool looking.

2nd
Bruno takes down. JC working on left side. JC under the right arm. Bruno attempts a sitout and nearly gets stuck, nothing. Eventually Bruno with the esc, 4-2. 57 sec of RT for JC. Bruno with a shot, blocked. Bruno slips behind for a TD, 4-4. JC with the esc, 5-4. JC with a shot on a single, nothing. 50 sec of RT for JC

3rd
JC takes down. Quick esc for JC, 6-4. JC in on a double for a TD, 8-4. Working on the right side. RT over 1 min. Tries to turn, nothing. JC working a figure four. Bruno is as flat as a flounder. 25 sec left. Bruno works up, taken back down. JC working under the arm, and a rideout. With RT, it's a 9-4 win. 2:27 in RT

Fisher in low on the leg, Gulibon locks, they scramble, and Fisher gets the TD, 0-2. Fisher working from the side, Gulibon to his feet, and gets the esc, 1-2. 24 sec of RT for Fisher. Gulibon in on the left leg, Fisher with a whizzer, Gulibon drives in and gets the TD, 3-2. Gulibon with a tight waist, and controlling him. Rideout. 21 sec of RT for Gulibon

2nd
Gulibon takes down. JG to his feet, and he's out, 4-2. Gulibon with a head inside single, a scramble, and then a TD, 6-2. 1 min left. Gulibon working on the left side. OOB with 45 sec. Caution on Fisher. Fisher to his feet, and he gets out, 6-3. Gulibon in on the left leg, nothing. End 49 sec of RT for Gulibon

3rd
Fisher takes down. Fisher to his knee, sits out, tries a shoulder roll, there's a scramble, and a stalemate. RT over a min. Another stalemate at 1:17. Fisher to his feet and out, 6-4. 1:36 in RT for JG. Head outside single for the TD by Jimmy, 8-4. RT is assured. Gulibon working on left side. End. With RT, it's 9-4. 2:30 in RT for Jimmy.

Nice matchup

Not much action in 1st minute. Zain snaps down on head, nothing. Russia tie, nothing. Zain keeps coming, and crowd is murmuring about stalling. 1 min left. Zain with a quick double leg, 2-0. Pantaleo is flat as a fish. Stalemate. Pantaleo to his feet, and driven OOB with 23 sec. Zain on the right side, then to the left side, stall warning on Pantaleo. 54 sec of RT

2nd
Zain takes bottom. Up and out really quick, 3-0. Circling ... then Pantaleo drops in on a double and gets the TD, 3-2. Zain out quickly, 4-2. 1 min left. Hand fighting, then Zain in on a low double for the TD, 6-2. Pantaleo goes flat again, and the crowd is not pleased. Zain nearly tilts him, and gets the swipes and 4 NF just before the end of the period, 10-2. 1:17 in RT for Zain

Pantaleo takes neutral. Zain with another double leg, 12-2. Zain on the right side, and then cuts him, 12-3. 1 min left. Zain in on the left leg, reaches across for the right ankle and gets the TD, 14-3. Stall warning, 15-3. A tilt, and getting swipes, and he gets the fall at 6:36!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McCormick with his typical awful officiating.....no second stalling on Youtsy despite doing nothing in 3rd period except for running away from Mega......inexplicably blows his whistle stopping match when Nolf takes Murphy down directly to his back??? Unreal.

Nolf in on a single, has Murphy dancing, pulls him from the edge, and then drives thru and taken to his back, but the ref stops the action -- what a mistake. 6-2. 24 sec left. Nolf with a rideout. 1:28 in RT for Nolf

2nd
Nolf takes down. Nolf to his feet, and out, 7-2. Collar tie to a single leg to a double for the TD for Nolf, 9-2. Murphy stands and is out, 9-3. Nolf drops to the legs, blocked. Nolf with a snap-down, go behind, but Murphy with a counter for the TD, 9-5. Nolf is out, 10-5, and gets the TD, 12-5. Nolf working the left side, attempts to throw in a boot, then a power half, and he's cranking him, is getting swipes, and the period ends. 4 NF, and a 16-5 lead. 2:01 in RT for Nolf

3rd
Murphy takes down. Nolf cuts him, 16-6. Nolf in deep but stopped. Nolf in on the right leg, steps thru and gets the TD, 18-6. Arm bar, tries a half nelson, nothing. Nolf with a power half, and gets 4 NF, so a 22-6 TF at 6:13

Had him on his back three times - the Official (McCormick) bailed Murphy out of one of them according to Iron-Head's call (Nolf took Murphy down to his back and McCormick blew his whistle stopping the wrestling despite wrestlers still being in-bounds....apparently, McCormick then claimed it was an "inadvertent whistle" and signaled that it was "his fault, my mistake"??? Unreal mistake for an Official, you blow the match dead when one wrestler just took the other down onto his back and has the other wrestler in real trouble??? That's quite a mistake!).
 
So Youtsey lost to NATO 4-2, Bruno beat JDJ and UM won 149 and 157.

Next Friday should be a great event.

Sutton in on a single, and gets the TD, 0-2. Rasheed up and out, 1-2. Double leg by Sutton, and gets the TD, 1-4. Rasheed to feet by OOB with 1:16 left. Rasheed to his feet, and gets the esc, 2-4. Under 1 left. Sutton with a shot, Rasheed slips it. Sutton with a shot, Rasheed sprawls. End. 43 sec of RT for Sutton

2nd
Rasheed takes bottom. He gets out, 3-4. Rasheed reaches for right leg, nothing. 1:30 left. Circling. Rasheed snaps the head, nothing. Arm drag by Rasheed, nothing. Sutton dives on legs, Rasheed slips behind for the TD, 5-4. Crazy scramble and a stalemate with 5 sec left. Sutton sits out, rideout. 15 sec of RT for Sutton

3rd
Sutton takes bottom. He sits out, Rasheed pulls him back in. RT now in favor for Rasheed. Another sit out, nothing. Rasheed gets Sutton flattened, and is working a 2-on-1. Sutton stays flat. Sutton sits out, and gets breaken down again. RT now over 1 min for Rasheed. RT is assured for Rasheed. Stall warning on Rasheed as he was hanging on to the legs. 13 sec left. Esc with 7 sec, 5-5. With 1:16 of RT, Rasheed wins 6-5.

1st
Caution on Nickal for starting too soon at the start of the match. Nickal in on the left leg, has Mahomes bouncing on 1 leg, drives thru and gets the other leg for the TD, 2-0. Stoppage for injury time for Mahomes as soon as the TD takes place. Appears to be the right leg. Mahomes seems to be in a lot of pain.

Injury default at 1:24 for Bo.

29-0, PSU

PSU locks up the dual with that victory.
 
More McCormick nonsense calls in the Brill match apparently.....Byers claims that McCormick awarded 2 exposure points in a situation where Brill merely rolled through and was never held on his back at all.

1st
Abounader with a front headlock, but can't get anything from it. Brill with a shot, nothing. Abounader in on an ankle, Brill with the whizzer, Abounader with a craddle, and he gets a TD and 2 NF (seemed really quick), so 4-0. Abounader with a spiral ride on right side. Abounader throws in the boots. Abounader gets high, Brill trying to slip out behind, but not successful. Brill flat, and then a quick burst and out, 1-4. 1:37 in RT for Abounader

2nd
Abounader takes down. Brill tries to throw legs in. Goes to a crab ride. Abounader gets the ankle and gets a reversal, 1-6. PD at 1:27 left. Spiral ride on left side, and Brill gets flattened. 1 min left. Abounader with the legs in, and trying to get a tilt, and finally a PD call with 10 sec left (and no swipes). Brill gets a quick esc, 2-6. 2:41 in RT for Abounader

3rd
Brill takes neutral. Brill gets a front headlock, nothing. Brill in on a leg, Abounader with the counter and a TD, 2-8. RT is assured for Abounader. Brill tries a roll and nearly gets caught, nothing. Abounader really trying to get a tilt, but Brill is fighting it. Stall warning on Brill. RE: Fayette- I think they announced 7000 shakers or some darn thing. I don't trust a thing that has been announced, though. Way too many "pinfalls" and "nothing doings" to put any stock into what is being said over the mic.

Johnson can't seem to catch a break. He seems to be healthy for some of the best 285 lbers.

Coon takes down. Quickly up and out, 1-5. Coon drives into Johnson, and gets the TD, 1-7. Coon cuts him, 2-7. Johnson with a shot, but Coon counters and gets the TD, 2-9. Coon cuts him, 3-9. Blood stoppage for Johnson. OOB after the restart. Coon in on a double and gets the TD, 3-11. Coon cuts him, 4-11. Johnson shoots, in on a leg, Coon trying to counter, and they go OOB with 20 sec. OOB again. Johnson gets behind Coon but can't bring him to the mat before the buzzer

3rd
Blood stoppage again for Johnson. Johnson takes down. 1:59 in RT for Coon, to start the period. Spiral ride for Coon. He breaks Johnson down. Coon cuts him, 5-11. RT is assured. Coon drives in, Johnson circling, nothing. Coon in on a single, switches to a double for the TD, 5-13. Under 30 left. Johnson to his base. Stall warning on Johnson makes it 5-14. Which call are you talking about - btn or Byers' audio on Penn State Sports Network? Assume you're talking about btn as Byers' doesn't use that terminology.

- I'm feeling great right now. My mindset is to have fun in each match.

Several TDs were lighting fast. What did you see.
- 1st period was pretty close. He was breathing heavier in the 2nd, and when he reached I'd drop down and shoot

Talk about the pin
- he was keeping his hands in front of him. I finished him with a bow and arrow

Team seems to be wrestling with the right mindset. How enjoyable is it to be in the room these days?
- we've got a competitive room. We were playing run-and-gun (handball game) before practice yesterday. It's a lot of fun to be on the team

Talk about the fans in Rec Hall
- they were loud, several times. The whiteout was new to me. The singlets were different. You had to wear white underwear

Talk about Ohio State at the BJC
- really excited to be going to the BJC, with the platform. It's a lot of fun.
