Are most of you seeing drastic changes in your tax refund this year?

I changed jobs and that threw in a couple of new variables, but we have gone from a refund of a couple grand, to paying in a couple. I’ve seen on the news that a ceiling on the property tax credit is impacting some, but we aren’t in a crazy high property tax area (as opposed to NJ). We are just getting the standard deduction this year, as opposed itemized deductions.

Not a political post, just trying to gauge whether we should pay someone to look at our taxes to see what we may be missing.

10 Champions?

I'm stir crazy from the snow, so I decided to have a little fun. Here are my thoughts on what would have to happen for each PSU starter to win a National title this year. With what I think will actually happen in parentheses. Apologies to @GogglesPaizano as this sort of silly post is usually his territory.

285 Anthony Cassar: Gets to his offense against White the second time around. Wrestles from space against Gable, able to finish his shots against the imposing freshman. (Loses in the finals to Gable)
197 Bo Nickal: Show up, don't get hurt. (Pin someone in the final, win the Hodge)
184 Shakur Rasheed: Pearl harbor the field. Nobody sees him coming. Mymar chooses down in the second period and doesn't take the crossface cradle seriously. (Two time all american)
174 Mark Hall: It wasn't just that lovely Rec Hall magic. He has upped his game past Zahid, and/or Zahid is in some sort of trough this year. (What I just said)
165 Vincenzo Joseph: Continue to win the close ones against a murderous field. Mom doesn't forget the hat. (I'm nervous about him, but I always am. Finds a way to get to #3)
157 Jason Nolf: Next topic. (Supplants Ed Ruth as greatest college wrestler to never win the Hodge)
149 Brady Berge: A lot. His weight is good, brackets get busted, has the weekend of his life. (Could AA but I think he is just not there yet. Heartbreaker in the bloodround,)
141 Nick Lee: Takes smart shots against guys who can scramble, rides momentum past McKenna, then turns the tables on Yianni. (Third)
133 RBY: Lessons learned throughout the year accumulate for the true freshman. Brutal field takes out one or two studs before he hits them. His athleticism, neutral defense, and ability to get out on bottom make the difference in a few key matches. Afterward, HR starts a thread apologising to Carl for doubting his ability to coach. (AA)
125 Devin Schnupp: One of the following things happens before B1G tourney. Bitten by radioactive spider, "Accidental" blast of gamma rays, Dr. Erskine injects him with that Premium Soldier Syrup or whatever. (Gets to eat a whole cheesecake after Big 10's, enjoys a special place in all of our hearts for how hard he wrestled this year. Warwick Strong!)

Went to Princeton today. Boy, do I feel dumb.

And I actually wore a Penn State sweatshirt.

IF. YOU. CAN’T. GO. TO. COLLEGE. , GO. TO. STATE. .

They walk smarter, talk smarter, drink lattes smarter. I was lost in my murky sea of dumbery. A few of the smarties were ready to stone me over the sweatshirt, but they decided the stones deserved better. They’ll save them for Harvard.

Me so dumb. I hate me. :(

Matt Lee

Matt Lee, Nick and Joe’s brother, just won the Indiana Evansville Semistate tournament with wins in the 1st round (24-9 TF), QF (12-4 MD), SF (Fall in 51 seconds) and Finals (17-6 MD). Matt is undefeated at 37-0 and will advance to the State finals next week. Matt, a Junior, is ranked #1 at 145 lbs. in Indiana and is listed as #16 in Intermat’s H.S. rankings. Matt didn't impress me last year, but he seems to have taken a big step forward this year. There must be something in that Lee DNA.

First Post by me

Ive been lurking here for well basically ever, I’ve been a penn state wrestling fan for again well basically ever, I attended the 1996 summer camps with Troy. A lot more ups than downs. Finally decided to register and post tonight after I dropped a BWI reference on twitter tonight.

B1G Wrestling Schedule Rotations for PSU

Not sure how many of you will find this useful, but I know for me I have been confused about the Big Ten Wrestling schedule rotation (triggered also by Iowa's 'light' B1G schedule)!

I know that Roar and others have explained it ad nauseum with words (in particular this posting was extremely helpful... thanks Roar!)... but I am a much more "visual" learner... and because I like to travel to away matches, I decided to put together the following tables of "future" schedules that can be projected well into the future for as long as the Big Ten continues its current pairing model (which with my luck they will change next year after I've done all this work...o_O)

Anyway, if you click here => PSU B1G Schedule Rotations

you will have access to future B1G opponents to be scheduled, whether at home or away, and I have also included the location of future B1G & NCAA Tournaments. Enjoy & as always, point out any errors.:)
