They just said finals on mat 2, third on mat 5. Didn’t catch 5th place mat.

4 Steen vs 3 Phatorus (Campbell)
Nothing through 1:30. No committed shots by either wrestler. Phat takes a good shot, gets in deep, but Steen successfully defends. Steen takes a shot. OOB. 0-0 after one.
Phat takes bottom. Mat return. But then escape. 10 secs. 1-0 Phat. Phat in on single. Big scramble Steen almost got around but then a stalemate. Steen late shot from distance defended. 1-0 Phat after two.
Steen chooses bottom. Out in 5 secs. 1-1. They let the ride clock tick 4 secs longer than it should have. No matter. Phat in on a single. Stalling on Steen. Scramble and TD for Steen! 3-1 Steen. 10 secs to go. Escape and it’s a 3-2 Steen win! Steen beats his seed and takes 3rd place!

Just an opinion, but I believe he won that match with attitude. He looked tougher, refused to concede any position.

Now I would like to see Jason Nolf teach Gary Nolf's head snap. Also, somebody teach the kid some mat returns and top control techniques.
he was in on leg. went to leg pry didnt have it and then went to sweep and look like the knee buckled on the kid.
But I have 2 football games going on in front of me (birds and skins), my war game on cell and then this flo event.

You’ll gladly take that win in what was is something like Van Ness’ 7th or 8th college match.

agreed. thats some grit made in November that forms a foundation for Feb and beyond.
Lovett knew the third was going to be ugly if he didn’t rest lol.
I love that JB makes it feel like the guys just won in the semis or finals of BIGs or Nattys instead of the Black Knight Invitational.
