I can’t believe Kelly got off his back just now.

Unfortunately he got turned again and pinned off camera. Kelly’s tournament is over. :(

Army 125 is very legit ... beat Kaylor and Cronin already this year, didn't expect Gary to win that but good scrap.

Berginc former Pa state champ, no slouch, agree. Really good college resume already too.

Feel like these guys are pretty equal, but as others said, can’t leave yourself vulnerable like that. Learning experience.

I am more of the thought that the last 45 seconds was poor.
Also, gee whiz man. If you aren't taking people down left and right, ride people with a little sense of urgency. Make them get out, do not just cut them because the got to their feet.

Steen obviously needs to make some physical adjustments, but his mental approach needs to change. At least if he is looking to increase his odds of beating guys who are avenge to better than average.

Do you think that the mental approach change is as big as physical?

I ask that because, for someone like Steen, he got into a lot of matches (98% of them) where riding likely wasn’t a big deal. But that mindset has to be a real change for guys I imagine.

Why wasn't the 2 back. He had him on his back getting swipes?

I think the match against Hanna is very indictive of what we will see from Beau against NQ level guys this year. He can ride them, he'll shoot more and he will for the most part control the match but not expecting him to blow anyone of that caliber out the water with bonus wins.

But very controlled decisions (did Hanna do anything at all?)

I think for Steen to find success he needs to improve all areas. Physical is improved through physical effort and repetition in the room. Mental can be done by simply allowing a synapse to fire. He wrestles at Penn State, Big10, NCAA D-1. He no longer is a multi time state champ dominating PIAA AA kids. Stay the **** off your knees, physically fight to control the neutral position and make that opponent fight their ass off to gain an escape point. That is all mental.
