Period 1:
Starocci pushes forward. Smith shoots, Starocci counters & gets the TD, 3-0. Out of bounds & restart. Smith is still down. Caution on Smith, false start. Starocci quickly gets Smith bellied out. Smith works back to his base, but seems stuck there. Starocci with a super heavy ride & Smith is struggling to get up. Starocci cuts Smith, 3-1. Starocci has Smith on the edge. He shoots & slams Smith down as they go out of bound. Nice aggression Carter! Stoppage & restart for fingers. Starocci pushes forward & has Smith on the edge. He shoots & gets to a body lock, but they go out of bounds, restart. Starocci stalks forward again & Smith backs up. Starocci drops in on a leg & gets another TD, 6-1. Out of bounds & restart. Smith is still down. Starocci rides out the period, 6-1 Starocci with lots of RT.
Period 2:
Starocci takes down. He gets to his feet & gets the escape, 7-1. Starocci comes forward again. Smith shoots, Starocci counters & gets a leg. He elevates it & then drags Smith back on the mat. Starocci dives for the other leg too, but Smith gets it back. Out of bounds & restart, no scoring. Back to neutral. Starocci pushes forward again. Stall warning on Smith. Starocci hits another TD as they go out of bounds, 10-1. Starocci gets another point for something, 11-1. Starocci cuts Smith, 11-2. Starocci pushes forward again & gets another TD on the edge, 14-2. Out of bounds & restart. Smith is still down. Starocci quickly gets Smith bellied out & rides out the period. 14-2 Starocci, +RT
Period 3:
Smith takes down. Neutral might have been a better choice. Starocci is riding heavy & gets Smith bellied out again. Smith works back to his base, and gets another stall warning, point Starocci, 15-2. Starocci drives Smith out of bounds hard, restart. Starocci cuts Smith, 15-3. Starocci is coming forward again & has Smith on the edge. Starocci drops to a leg. Smith locks through the crotch, 45-sec left. Starocci keeps working & gets a leg. Smith is completely out of bounds & Starocci is trying to drag him back in with only a toe in bounds. Stall call #3 on Smith, 2 points Starocci, 17-3. Starocci shoots off the restart & gets another TD for the 20-3 techfall. That was a beatdown. Carter was as aggressive as ever. I don't know is someone pissed him off before the match, but if so, I hope they do it again before the next match!

Out of bounds & restart. Barr gets to a leg off the whistle & gets a quick TD, 3-0. Barr gets Mielnik bellied out. Mielnik works back to his base, but not for long before he is bellied out again. This is random, but my late grandfather absolutely hated Iowa and I remember in my childhood he used to openly pine for the power in college wrestling to come back east to God's country, central Pennsylvania. I'm glad he lived long enough for Cael.

My grandfather once said something to the effect of, he hated every program West of the Allegheny Mountains and South of Pennsylvania. Doesn't leave many options. 🤣

Yeah. I usually poo-poo instant panic over ankle tweaks and such, but head injuries are a whole other thing. Hopefully, it just opened up the existing cut and the staff and Tyler decided to fight another day
