Agree about the excessive stoppages in basketball. Makes the game difficult to watch.
Disagree about soccer. Rarely stopped, yes. Constant action, no way.

Not a fan of basketball....can the officials call stalling on these teams?
Never have watched a game, do they not have a technical fall in basketball. These guys are still playing with PSU up by 22. WTF
There is no "5 minute timeout". There are commercial breaks at the first stoppage under 16 minutes, 12 minutes, 8 minutes, and 4 minutes in each half. And of course, shorter commercial breaks when a team calls a time out.
Update - BB game over at 8:01 PM. Due to the blowout score, the last few minutes went relatively quickly.

He's able to stand OK without them and doesn't appear to have a bulky brace on from what I can tell from up here
