Penn State - Ohio State Dual Thread

Lee tired in the 3rd again. Frustrating as hell to give up that takedown late in the 2nd. McKenna deserved that win.

149 - P1

Hayes staying square with Retherford for the first two minutes. Crowd again calling for stalling before blood time for Hayes at the :50 mark. After the reste, it's Hayes who scores first, 0-2. Retherford escapes, 1-2, and then Hayes gathers a low takedown once again along the boundary, 1-4. Reversal for Retherford and he puts Hayes right to his back for two NF, 5-4. Interesting first period there

149 - P2

Hayes takes neutral to start the period. TD Retherford and now Retherford is torquing. Four NF gives him a 7-4 lead. Retherford with four more NF for an 11-4 lead heading into the third

Retherford chooses top to start the third and he's working violently for another turn. Gets a quick turn for two NF, 13-4. Stalling on Hayes comes next, his second, 14-4. Another stall warning, 15-4 and now Retherford has another turn. Unable to get the fall but wins by TF, 20-4 with 3:19 RT

Penn State trails, 10-5

157 - P1

Jordan secures the first takedown about 1:00 into the match, rides for :07 before Pipher escapes, 1-2. Quick return TD for Jordan, 1-4. Pipher is out, 2-4. Then Jordan scores again, 2-6. Short ride and Pipher is out again, 3-6, and then another quick TD for Jordan, 3-8. Jordan has 1:16 RT after one

No challenge on Kuhn reversal
Not have Kuhn ride
Cost team point

Awful strategy in 3rd for Lee and no challenge on that TD at end of 2nd

I immediately questioned letting McKenna up right away in the 3rd. With the score tied 4-4 and McKenna having riding time, I thought they would see if Nick could ride long enough to eliminate the riding time, then let him up (if no points from the top) so a takedown and ride out would win it. Letting him up right away meant Lee had to take him down twice, which he couldn't do as McKenna played "defense"

Jordan with another TD, 6-18. Escape for Pipher, 7-18, and then another TD, 7-20. Escape, 8-20. TD Jordan, 8-22. Escape, 9-22, and then Jordan adds another to win by TF in 6:06

OSU up 15-10

Need to win next 4 with bonus in at least 3 because Snyder is a W for sure
