He was very close on the "45 degree rule" which is why there was a delay to the swipes and only one swipe was made. 45 degree rule is very subjective - Geno's Blades were well off the mat. Really close call, but the Ref didn't start swiping until Bakuchas closed the gap on his blades and then could only do it momentarily (1 swipe).....then the gap re-increased......then he began to get him closer again.....then Geno rolled out and up for the escape. Was close, but I think the Ref was calling blades too far off the mat as to why he didn't start the count.
I agree with this explanation, but...RU was still screwed.

Nope, not at all.
Looked like a 184 pounder wrestling 197 against yet another kid who towers over him, and, like most of them not named "Studebaker" or "Pfarr" or "Cox" or 5 others, he beat him, in a really close match.
All good.
He STILL IS fine. I'm saying that he is overcoming a length disadvantage, that becomes more clear as we go. That's all I'm saying.
