FB Recruiting 2025 RB Kiandrea Barker earns Arkansas offer, sets Official Visit

Class of 2025 running back commit Kiandrea Barker earned an interesting offer today from Arkansas, now why is this interesting? Despite being a native of California, Barker spent a good chunk of his life in Arkansas as he moved to Arkansas during elementary school and played his first two seasons of high school football at Beebe High School, before moving to Texas last season and then was expected to move to Miami Central (FL) this season, but now is back at Beebe.

(UPDATE: Barker will take an OV to Arkansas on June 7th)

Looking for a Bit of History: Wrestler Died from Horsehair Mat

Some of you may know that Warren Tischler established Resilite because of the issues he faced from wrestling on horsehair mats.

Official history here:

But what I'm looking for is a wrestler who actually died from them (and this may predate the the modern NCAA era beginning in 1928). As I recall the story , the story was he won a college wrestling championship and was "barnstorming" as a means of livelihood either just after getting married or an anticipation of getting married, and received a nasty abrasion from one of the mats which caused sepsis and killed him at something like 24, just a year or two out of college.

Searching for the account gets a flood of Peyton Robb accounts, I'm wondering if anybody else has ever heard anything about this fellow.

Best wrestling movie ever?

While we all wait with baited breath in anticipation for the tourney to start, ... how about a little fun?

I can't help myself, but with each view it gets even better and more classic. The first watch I thought it just so so, but now as senility starts to take hold, it's hilarious and a little sweet, which makes it wife safe.

#1 All Time Wrestling movie is "Nacho Libre"

Ok, way OT. And bizarre and gross

A company has been formed to perfect head transplants. Yep😵‍💫

Claim they will perfect it in less than ten years. A video of the process all done by robots. NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH!

Of course, reconnecting the spinal cord is the big obstacle.

One strange thing is that the article never mentioned NeuroLink. If NeuroLink becomes successful if could be combined with this.

A bizarre new world is coming…..

O T Apple vision is really impressive.

My son bought an apple vision device yesterday. Really impressive. He let me use it and for instance, it really looks like a rhinoceros is coming right for your lap in 3d. He says it can be used medically by surgeons and for other reasons. Also, it would be fantastic for golf tournaments because I am told that TV does not show the extreme mounding that is part of the Augusta national golf course. For this device you could be right next to a pro golfer hitting a pitch up at 10 foot incline. Definitely not cheap. Currently costs $4,000. For a lot of people it would be worth the $4,000.
