Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Penn State versus Illinois

Penn State's first drive of the game. Eight plays, 75 yards, 7 points. Drew Allar was 2-for-3 for 36 yards, Nick Singleton had 3 carries for 25 yards, and Tyler Warren has another play for the highlight reel.

Penn State's defense continues to be undisciplined. Two seperate flags on Illinois's second play of the drive. One offsides and one DPI call. Just like that the Illini are past midfield.

Penalties, penalties, penalties. Franklin needs to take a page out of Joe's book on this.

Have a seat over here son.....

Okay Allen needs to be fired lol
The lack of discipline is ridiculous--if you jump offside just go so they don't get a free play

And just playing two hand touch on defense… and just not doing anything right. Looks like the first offense to make a mistake loses because it’s not goimg to be the defenses.

What is the identity of a JF team? It sure isn't physicality or and mental discipline.

Penn State allows Illinois to get past midfield but they force a fourth down. Illinois will punt from their 40-yard line. Big Ten footall baby.

Wheatley just seeks the big hit...has very little fundamentals to tackle and position well.

JF last week said he was embarrassed with all the penalties vs KSU. Sure looks like they worked on it. Either we have a dumb football team or they don't care.

I love that Julian Flemings has the “George Jefferson” in his TV game photo

I think he wants explosive plays and winning the turnover margin. In that sense they are doing well this year.
Is that really an identity? What do they fall back on....a running game, passing game, fundamentals, special teams?
