Their defense is still legit. And they're cornerbacks are still allowed to do whatever they want to receivers. Might be a 9-6 type of game.
Another joke Replay call - Washington receiver does not have control of ball when nose hits ground - it's wedged between players and his right hand is nowhere near ball. After ball hits ground he reaches across with right hand and wrestles it free! Rule says you have to have full control BEFORE ball hits ground. League is so f'ing bad.
Everyone gets a bye in that sense its multiple weeks off before you play regardless. I think the teams with actual byes may have too much time off.
It's especially difficult when the opposing team is permitted to bear-hug you off the LOS, bronco-ride you throughout the pattern and then tackle you before the ball arrives.

PSU is on upset alert because U-dub's league-leading Pass Defense..... blah, blah, blah..... Guess it isn't that easy to play Pass Defense when you aren't permitted to bear-hug all eligible receivers off the LOS, bronco-ride them throughout the pattern and then tackle them before the ball arrives.
Inquiring minds want to know. I assume its neutral refs if its different conferences, but what if its two teams from the same.
It would still likely be another conference. I think Big Ten refs did Bama-Georgia. I'll dig tomorrow.
I wasn't worried about Washington but I wouldn't have given the points. Still a half to play though. Keep our foot on the gas and hope to come out of the game healthy.
