Noteworthy Results & Goldfish Games - Week of Nov 29 - Dec 5

Edmond takes Andonian to his back right off opening whistle. No backs tho. Then Andonian takes Edmond to back. Lots of action.
Crazy match — Andonian returns the favor w/ a sick counter to a bast double that would have had anyone else, turns it into backs.

EDIT: For those not watching, Andonian was up 9-4 going into 3rd, and shut Edmond down by riding him out the whole period. Final score 10-4.

Strickland is a true freshman who finished 3rd at AA states last year.

Im pretty bias on this one, Im a Benton guy, but I am not surprised. Gable wrestled the post season with one arm last year and still finished 3rd. He has a high ceiling and is dangerous. He'll take out some guys that will be impressive and probably take some bad losses this year but I think he can be a NQ and AA by the time his story is written.

I misremembered the score of this on another thread, he was down three with time expiring. Not often you rebound from this ...

He was outclassed by Rayvon Foley on Thursday night but never went away and got his own takedown late. He's not afraid to take chances and has a lot of confidence. It's not always going to work out but that gutsy approach will get him to where he wants to go eventually.

End of meet team handshake turns into a scrum, benches clear, no punches thrown.

*This one had lots of extracurriculars.
**Formerly Shapiro (name change).
***ISU deducted a team point after Batista football-spiked his headgear in celebration (He got tremendous height on the bounce, I will say).
****Schuyler DQ’d on stalling

DeSanto runs the IST kid into the table, and both kids get an unsportsmanlike penalty point?

No match report just an observation. So far this year I’ve seen way too many takedowns given up because they are adjusting head gears. Not so much PSU but around entire ncaas.
