Mostly correct. Except Attasauov WAS trying to nail him in the head with his Elbow. It was a hard intentional swing. Not a simple get off me swing as you say. DeSanto didn't react at all to it. He put his head down like you said and listened to his coaches as he walked calmly back to the center.
The Russian was ready for a scrap throughout the match. Almost looking for it. Unfortunately for him the only real offensive thing he did was elbow Austin in the head. ISU was assessed the penalty first for the Elbow. Then Iowa was dinged shortly after some discussion.
Also was that a sex with sheep bent over a table reference? Say what?!

Here is the picture people are missing. This picture occurred BEFORE the video of Tom and Desanto running over there. Terry was already causing trouble in a huddle of the ISU team. Knowing this timeline, it seems pretty clear to me that Tom was coming over to get Terry out of there. That is why he blew past Dresser. Seems to be a major part of his job is just to grab Desanto and/or Terry at just the moment before all he’ll breaks loose.

I've seen your posts here and on Cy Fan. You have done nothing but cry. You don't even begin to acknowledge ISU coaches and wrestlers were involved aswell. Take your red and yellow glasses off and admit that both teams and coaches were yapping back and forth. Dresser even admitted it.

So glad I’m a PSU fan and I don’t have to twist myself into all sorts of contortions trying to rationalize and defend the recurring pattern of inexcusable behavior of ADS, Terry et al.
and from what's been described by witnesses, st. john shoved terry while i was running through the team for his handshake.
terry shouldn't have been there. that was poor judgment. but he also didn't just run into the crowd and start shoving people. st. john was more than willing to take the opportunity to mix it up. a lot of tempers flaring in that moment.
and yes tom was getting in there to get his guys out of there. you can tell in his presser that he was not happy. tom can control himself in a way that terry seems not able to.

You are absolutely correct. Attasauov was never going through the table. It was a total alpha male move by ADS, and he got an alpha male response. He was clearly showing Attasauov up in front of his home crowd and he got the response one would expect. They were both in the wrong and they both were penalized a point for it. However, ADS has to fly straighter than everyone else. He's the one bringing the baggage to the party.

Answer a simple question: at the point where Attasauov is standing right in front of the table, what should he have done *at that moment*? He's just been walked, at whatever pace you want to call it, *far* off the mat and right at the table. It is reasonable that he thinks he's going to continue to be walked into the table, and ADS had not yet stopped "walking" him.

if anybody wants to see a good video of the whole thing, go watch the stalemates stream from last night. the basic events were:
1. terry does his usual sprint to the handshake (bad idea), gets through the line quickly without issue and circles back towards the exit
2. tom and desanto see him take off and follow him.
3. (here's where the trouble starts) st. john steps in front of tom and body checks him and won't let him pass to follow terry.
4. hawkeye team sees this and crosses the mat
5. not much actually happens. the two teams appear to just jaw at each other. the only push i could see was st. john pushing telford a bit (he did not have much success moving telford lol).
the funniest part to me is that the only one who seemed to get through the handshake line normally was terry of all people. when he was pulling people out, it was because he had circled all the way back around to exit and saw the fray and had to come back. i think corby said it best that this really wasn't as bad as it looked.

I suppose this how the Hawks "have Fun" during the season. Cant imagine an ex PSU wrestler acting this way towards the PSU coaching staff. I imagine those involved knew it was not going to escalate any further than it did.
