I can live with that. He's had a solid career and has never come across as anything other than a normal, solid wrestler with a good work ethic and decent offensive effort.
I can live with that too, if our guy can't win it.

What I was implying: sometimes you can't use a national champ as a measuring stick, because national champs don't give you an opportunity. They're champs for a reason.

That's what happened to Shak tonight.

285: Seth Nevills vs. Gary Taub

Per 1
OOB with 2:25 left, but a stall warning on Traub. Not a lot of offense here. 1 min left. End

Per 2
Nevills takes down. He's up and out in 6 sec, 1-0. Nevills in on a low double and gets the TD, 3-0. Then they go OOB and nearly off the platform. Neville may have gotten hurt, and he's getting checked by the PSU staff. They're checking his knee. OK, we're back. Neville got high, but had a cradle, but lost it, and Traub gets the esc as they go OOB with 35 sec, 3-1. Stalemate with 1 sec left. End.

Per 3
Traub takes bottom. Some scrambling, then a stall warning for hanging onto the leg against Nevills. Traub hits a roll but Nevills stays with him, then Traub gets the reversal, 3-3. Nevills gets the esc and they go OOB with 49 sec, 4-3. Traub in on a leg, goes to a double, elevates and gets the TD, 4-5. End. Traub eliminated the RT, so it's a 4-5 DEC for Traub late on the match

Final: 20-16, PSU

To be fair, maybe Seth's knee was really bothering.

He looked like two different wrestlers after that knee bruise / injury time.

Wow, Nevills goes down to GTG. Shouldn't happen, not Nevills' finest moment. But, yeah, maybe the leg injury was a factor.

I think that's going too far. Seth's leg buckled just after he got the esc in the 3rd period. I'm speculating, but it seemed as though something wasn't quite right with him at that point.
Eh ...I think He just looks weak for a 260lber IMO

I think Seth is better than what we just saw. He looked pretty bad. I don't know if his knee being tweaked had that much of an impact, but regardless he didn't look great.

Nah, not now at least. Really hasn't shown much to make you think he's going to make a run at AA this year. Doesn't have much of a shot, isn't it great rider, doesn't seem to know how to use his weight to his advantage... In his defense, he wasn't planning on being the starter this year heading into the season, so it is what it is at this point.

Anyone notice if there was interactions (handshakes, whatever) between Kyle Snyder and Tan Tom or the team? Snyder was definitely at the match
