It's gonna get tougher and tougher for Cael to make this call. Whether you think he is "small" or not, I don't see anyone better in the country. Not sure how you keep from pulling the shirt, we'll see.
Given that Cael may know a bit more than me I won't second guess. Just that I think we have a great lineup as is and can win nationals with keeping his shirt
National rankings suggest otherwise. PSU is currently ranked 3rd in the nation.
Those rankings would change instantly if Hall's redshirt is pulled.
Did anyone watch the McKenna/Prince bout? Arena had Prince winning 7-3 but it looks like it was McKenna who won (per bracket)

He feels that we can win a title without Hall. I am merely pointing out that the polls reflect otherwise.
The objective look, has us in 3rd place, without Mark Hall. With Mark Hall, PSU most likely would be higher in the polls.
Pretty sure that he hasn't made any decision at this point. Hall could have his redshirt pulled.
While it is certainly nice that people are jumping on board and screaming how they don't want his shirt pulled, it might be the same kind of nice and respectful, if they support Cael, if and when he pulls the shirt. Support all decisions, not just your own.
I don't care what the rankings, I may to remember this correctly but didn't Q win with a 13 seed. Just my opinion but some of our guys are under ranked

They did it that way in football for a long time. Penn State got the shaft more times than I care to talk about.

I know the plan is to keep the shirt on. I just keep coming back to Cael's comments on media day. He made sure to point out how competitive Hall was in the room. Was he saying that publicly to light a fire under Morelli and Rasheed? Who knows?. All I know is he didn't need to make those comments and any decision Cael has made, HE can certainly change in the coming weeks.
I agree his shirt should be pulled. Scoring potential at 133 and 141 but risk the possibility of which wrestler shows up at NCAAS. Hall in the lineup would make up for those points if they failed to produce any. More of a security with Mark in the lineup.
Having said that, Hall is a remarkable talent....he may be the best at his weight...but redshirt year in that room with that coaching won't hurt.
I'm completely indifferent. Doesn't matter one way or the other. I see the other side however. I will agree that Coach hasn't made a decision, and that pulling the RS is in the realm of possibility.

Probably. Because those are the only 2 posters I have on ignore. And it's AWESOME!!
(1) They are not polls.
(2) The rankings do not account for bonus points.
(3) Kent is not necessarily the best measuring stick for guaranteeing a national championship.
(4) It's January 1st.
